A door 1 is mounted on two hinges each comprising a pintle 8, 9, 12 13 secured to the door frame, e.g. via brackets 5, 10, and a corresponding pintle bearing at each end of one side of the door, at least one of the pintle bearings being constituted by the closed end of an outwardly open slot 16 and a part 20 of a spring 18 which is flexible transversely to the the longitudinal direction of the slot, a portion 22 of the said part facing away from the end of the slot and forming an acute angle with the outward longitudinal direction of the slot and a portion 21 facing toward the end of the slot and extending perpendicular to or forming an obtuse angle with the outward longitudinal direction of the slot. In the Figs., door 1 has a vertical rim 2 and horizontal rims 3,4. Slot 1b is provided in rim and opens at the end of the adjacent rim 2. A recess 16a is provided in rim 2 whose dimensions correspond with those of the pintle. The door is placed in position by engaging pintle 9 in its bearing and pushing pintle 12 against the edge 22 of the spring which rises, allowing the pintle to pass into the slot 16, and then snaps back to hold the pintle in position. Removal is effected by lifting spring 18, e.g. using a screwdriver. |
