The invention relates to a complex dental alloy, of the Co-Cr-Mo system, having a hardness less than classical Co-Cr alloys, and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the alloy comprises : 60 ...66 % Co; 26 ... 30 % Cr; 4 ... 7 % Mo, 0.05 ... 1% Mn; 0.5 ... 1.5 % Si; 0.1 ... 1% Ti and 0.1 ... 0.5 % Zr and has a hardness less than 300 HB. In a first step, the process for preparing the alloy consists in melting the mixture of Co-Cr under protective flux layer, representing of 2 to 4 % from the charge weight, comprising 95 % broken glass, 3 % borax and 2 % boron hydroxide, adding and melting, in turn, the secondary chemical alloying components, the resulting alloy being cast at a lower temperature, after removing the slag.
