PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive which is suitably made thin. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the disk drive which has a housing, a disk carrying means of carrying a disk as a recording medium, and a coupling means of coupling the housing and carrying means; when the recording medium is loaded, the disk carrying means is completely taken out of the housing, which is constituted as a sheet metal member increased in rigidity by adding die casting or drawing, thereby making the disk drive thin on the whole.
