PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide MRI apparatus causing no phase lag due to frequency change of an RF magnetic field and a detection signal. SOLUTION: This MRI apparatus is provided with signal collecting means 100-150 detecting and collecting magnetic resonance signals generated by impressing a static magnetic field, a gradient field, and the RF magnetic field, a frequency changing means 160 changing the frequency of the RF magnetic field and the frequency of the detection signals, and an image reconstruction means 170 reconstructing the image based on the collected signals. This MRI apparatus is further provided with a phase control means 160 defining a phaseΔθobtained by a relational expressionΔθ=2π×Δf×T using a differenceΔf between the frequency changed by the frequency changing means and a reference frequency and a time T from starting the impression of the RF magnetic field till starting the detection of the magnetic resonance signal, as the phase when starting the detection of the detection signals.
