<p>The selectable clutch assembly for the connecting of an auxiliary unit to the drive shaft of an internal combustion engine has a hydraulically operated clutch with a first pump arrangement connected to an operating cylinder (9), the piston of which acts on the clutch mechanism to press the clutch faces together against the force of a return spring (8), and a second pump arrangement which by rotational movement of a clutch component relative to the casing of the auxiliary unit (1) or casing of the internal combustion engine is acted upon by a force which operates the mechanism of this second pump arrangement.</p>
