<p>The method involves discarding subscriber connection data set in a restart-resistant memory (RRM) for including further connection data set. The data set is reconstructed after restart of an access multiplexer by determining a fill level of the RRM based on detection of the number of data sets and by allocating a linearly classified subscriber to the stored data set via an index, which identifies the relevant subscriber. An independent claim is also included for an access multiplexer for executing a method of providing backup of restart-resistant, dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) subscriber data.</p> |
