Provided is a method of processing wood which allows readily forming of a wood product as well as granting of a suitable strength over a whole area of the wood product. In a compression process, plural wooden pieces(111, 112), that are taken out from uncompressed raw wood so that the wood pieces are larger in volume than finished pieces by an amount to be decreased by compression, are compressed separately in water vapor atmosphere in high temperature and high pressure. In a following bonding process, the plural wooden pieces after the separate compression in the compression process are dried and placed one on another so that directions of wooden fibers of at least two of the plural wooden pieces intersect with each other, and bonded. |
