PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole cover indicating a direction, which imparts a function of a sign, indicating the direction, to a cover for covering the manhole, and which facilitates a covering operation. SOLUTION: Arrows 15 are fitted into a plurality of grooves 13 which are formed by being radially arranged on the circumference in such a manner as to center on the center of the cover 11. The plurality of rubber arrows 15, which indicate, for example, the directions of a flow of sewage, are provided, for example, in such a manner as to have different colors. Even if the direction of the cover 11 is changed after the performance of the operation of covering the manhole 1 of a sewer with the cover 11, the arrow 15 can be refitted into any one right-direction groove 13 among the plurality of radially formed grooves 13.
