PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die casting method and a die casting apparatus with which the enclosure of gas or solidified material mainly in a cavity and a plunger sleeve, is prevented for producing a high quality die cast product. SOLUTION: An interval between a gate and a plunger sleeve before injecting molten metal, is shut off by setting a movable type gate seal or a consuming type gate seal having a breaking part and a bending part, and the cavity is made to be high vacuum regardless of the plunger sleeve or the molten metal is prevented from coming into the cavity before injection. Further, the molten metal is supplied into the plunger sleeve mainly with the adjustment of the pressure in a molten metal holding furnace by keeping the reduced pressure in the plunger sleeve constant as much as possible. In the case of inclining the plunger sleeve, the pressure-reducing in the sleeve is unnecessary. Furthermore, the quality and the yield can be improved by utilizing the combination of setting of the plurality of molten metal pouring holes etc., and the formation of the inert gas atmosphere in the molten metal holding furnace and plunger sleeve, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
