PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem occurring when a document of a document management device is transferred to an archive server device. SOLUTION: A transfer document selecting section 101 selects a document to be transferred to the archive server device 20. An original document transfer section 102 transfers an original document (original rendition) of the document selected by the transfer document selecting section 101 to the archive server device 20. A transferred original document access section 103 acts as a client device 30 and accesses the original document transferred to the archive server device 20. An original document returning section 104 returns the original document transferred to the archive server device 20 in accordance with a predetermined reference. In creating an index for search, it is necessary just to refer to text rendition of the document management device 10, and it is not necessary to access the archive server device 20.
