PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device capable of certainly arranging sheets of paper in the sheet cross direction even when the number of the recording sheets to store increases. SOLUTION: This post-processing device is furnished with a first sheet end arranging member 47 to arrange one end edge of the recording sheet carried in the compile tray 7, a second sheet end arranging member 103 to carry the aforementioned sheet to the side of the first sheet end arranging member 47 by making contact with the recording sheet carried in the compile tray 7 and rotating and a second sheet end arranging member control means to move the second sheet end arranging member 103 between a sheet carrying position and a stand-by position and to change carrying position holding time to hold the second sheet end arranging member 103 at the sheet carrying position in accordance with the number of the recording sheets stored in the compile tray 7.
