Circuit for measuring a temperature has a modulator with a temperature sensor, whereby the modulation ratio varies proportionally with the temperature of the temperature sensor. Ideally a reference pulse width modulation ratio is set at 50 percent. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (A) a method for measuring a temperature in which the output voltage of the temperature sensor is measured by a modulator and when a maximum or minimum value is reached, the a different delay member is activated by the modulator and; (B) an electronics unit with two galvanically isolated areas with the first area responsible for temperature measurement transmitting information to the second area.
