PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical deflector in which a turbulence is suppressed by straightening the airflow in the vicinity of a motor, a power consumption is reduced and an uneven rotation is reduced. SOLUTION: The optical deflector comprises: a rotating body on which a mirror is formed; a bearing which supports the rotating body; a motor which drives the rotating body; and a case member arranged around the rotating body which is housed in a substantially sealed space. A partition wall is provided between the rotating part and the non-rotating part of the motor, and the substantially sealed space is formed between the case member and the partition wall.
