PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation hub for a bicycle capable of reducing the cost by suppressing reduction of the power generation efficiency. SOLUTION: The power generation hub 8 for the bicycle is mounted on a front fork 3 of the bicycle, and comprises a hub shaft 50, a hub shell 51, first and second bearings 52, 53, a power generation mechanism 54, and first and second magnetic flux reflux members 55, 56. The hub shaft is mounted on the front fork in a irrotational manner. The hub shell is arranged on the outer circumferential side of the hub shaft. The bearings are arranged between the hub shell and the hub shaft to mount the hub shell on the hub shaft in a relatively rotatable manner. The power generation mechanism comprises a coil 70 mounted on the hub shaft and a magnet 71 arranged on an inner circumferential surface of the hub shell facing a coil, and generates the power by the relative rotation of the hub shaft to the hub shell. The magnetic flux reflux means are provided on either the hub shaft or the hub shell to return the magnetic flux leaking outside from the coil to the coil. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
