<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generation or a detection of an electromagnetic wave comparatively more effectively from an antenna side at an electromagnetic wave element having the antenna which performs at least one side of the generation and the detection of electromagnetic waves. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave element 101 consists of an electromagnetic wave generating/detecting part 102 which is mounted on a substrate 105 and performs at least one side of the generation and the detection of electromagnetic waves; an antenna 104 for external emission of the electromagnetic waves generated from the electromagnetic wave generating/detecting part 102 and connected to the part 102, and which performs at least one side of leading to the electromagnetic wave generation/detection part 102, in response to the electromagnetic waves from the exterior.
