摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump drive mechanism for automatic transmission, capable of reducing friction due to rotation of a sprocket while restricting sprocket mounting backlash. <P>SOLUTION: This oil pump drive mechanism for an automatic transmission drives an oil pump disposed at a diametrically separated position from a rotary axis of a torque converter. A first sprocket 34 is rotatably supported by a torque converter housing 41 by a first bearing 51 to bear a radial load and a second bearing 52 to bear a thrust load. A first seal 53 is provided to make the first sprocket 34 and a cover 42 liquidtight to each other. A thrust is provided to the first sprocket 34 toward the second bearing 52 by oil pressure supplied into an oil chamber formed between the cover 42 and the first sprocket 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
