PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing costs of an image reading apparatus by using an inexpensive power feeding cable in place of a flexible wiring board, and to prevent trouble, such as twisting, cross-entangling or unfastening the power feeding cable. SOLUTION: An inexpensive power feeding cable 13 coating the outer periphery of a conductive cable with an insulating film is held at its one terminal side by a first power feeding cable holder 14a mounted at a fixed position near a voltage supply unit 12 and at another terminal side by a second power feeding cable holder 14b mounted on a first running body 4. The power feeding cable 13 between the first and second power feeding cable holders 14a and 14b is wound around a pulley 21 in a U shape, and this pulley 21 runs together with a second running body 5.
