PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost compact case having a buffer function, having a simple structure and facilitating the assembling. SOLUTION: This compact case is formed by connecting a case body 2 to a lid body 3 by a hinge at its rear part. This compact case with the buffer function is characterized in that the bottom of a recess part 2a, which is formed into the case body 2 for storing the metal plate 4 having solidified cosmetic filling therein and has a shape corresponding to the shape of a metal plate 4, is provided with a projection 5 being smaller than the bottom of the metal plate 4 and integrally molded with the case body 2.
