<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position paper being carried without requiring complicated structure or control, or causing time loss. <P>SOLUTION: A cursor 1 to adjust the width direction position of the paper is provided on one side of the paper width upstream of a pair of resist rollers 34 to regulate paper carrying timing to an image forming part in the paper carrying direction. A pair of rubber rollers 2 in which circumferential speed is set lower on the side where the cursor 1 is provided than that on the other side upstream of of the cursor 1 in the paper carrying direction.
