PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for stick-like cosmetic material, preventing slip-off of an inner tray in an ordinary use while refill and replacement can be simply performed, and a preparation method for the stick-like cosmetic material using the container. SOLUTION: This container 1 for stick-like cosmetic material includes: an outer cylinder 10, a sleeve 2 and the inner tray 7 filled with stick-like cosmetic material. The sleeve 2 is provided with the opened lower end, and a guide groove having a locking projection 4 at the lower part thereof. The container 1 is held in the locking projection 4. Further, the container 1 for stick-like cosmetic material is provided with a second locking projection mounted on the locking projection 4.
