PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-position switching mechanism, which can get desired toque in spite of its short axial length, a stop mechanism, and a shutter mechanism. SOLUTION: This two-position switching mechanism includes a stator 10 which has a core 14 having a plurality of core parts 13a-d and coils 15a-d wound on the core parts of the iron core and a rotor 20 which has magnets 22 being arranged rotatably in condition that they surround the above stator and being close to the tips of the above cores and being magnetized alternately in the rotational direction. At the two stop positions of the above rotor regulated by a rotational angle regulating means, the polarization points 24a-d of the magnets come closest to magnetic flux concentration parts, so the rotational direction of the above rotor is switched by the changeover of the direction of current application to the above coils, and also in the above two stop positions, the rotor is kept in the stop position in question by the magnetic attraction between the magnets and the magnetic flux concentration parts of the iron core.
