PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating film having light weight and having such a finish that a touch, an outward appearance, and a texture are extremely similar to those of real frosted glass. SOLUTION: A design coating composition comprises 10-60 wt% of silicone resin particles (a) which have an average particle diameter of 1.5-12μm and hardness corresponding to pencil hardness F or more, 90-40 wt% of a binder (b) which gives the hardness corresponding to the pencil hardness F or more to the film formed by only using the binder (b) [a total amount of the silicone resin particles (a) and the binder (b) is 100 wt%], and a flatting extender pigment (a') which is added in case of necessity.
