PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump capable of reducing a compressor work load necessary for obtaining the same output. SOLUTION: This heat pump comprises a first heat exchanger 6 giving heat to a refrigerant by a heat source; a first compressor 1 compressing the refrigerant with the heat given by the first heat exchanger 6; a second compressor compressing the refrigerant compressed by the first compressor 1; a second heat exchanger drawing heat from the refrigerant compressed by the second compressor 2; a return passage returning the refrigerant from which the heat is drawn to the first heat exchanger 6; and a refrigerant heating means 3 heating the refrigerant which runs into the second compressor 2 so that its temperature becomes higher than the refrigerant discharged from the first compressor 1.
