PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn a cover member (5) to the one with an excellent appearance without obstructing the get-on and get-off of a sleeper. SOLUTION: In a bed (1) with a hood provided with a floor base (2), a headboard part (3) formed at the front part of the floor base (2) and the cover member (5) which covers the upper part of the floor base (2) and forms a sleeping space (4) in an almost tightly sealed state therein, the cover member (5) is formed into a hood type provided with a plurality of ribs (14 and 15) and pleated hood cloth (20) and is made switchable to a housed state and an unfolded state. That is, the base end parts of the respective ribs (14 and 15) are supported respectively turnably at the almost center part in front and back directions of the left and right peripheral edge part (10) of the floor base (2). The rear side end part (20a) of the hood cloth (20) is fixed to the rear part of the floor base (2). Also, in the unfolded state of the hood cloth (20), the front side end part (20b) of the hood cloth (20) is brought into close contact with the headboard part (3) and the sleeping space (4) is formed therein.
