PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction operation valve for an ultrasonic endoscope which can switch a suction state from a channel suction aperture to a suction state from a balloon suction aperture by only a pushing operation of an operation button, does not often develop an operational fault, or the like, since the structure is simple, and does not develop a suction leak from the balloon suction aperture side when the operation to suck from the channel suction aperture is executed. SOLUTION: A proximal end aperture 8b of a balloon suction duct 8 is brought into contact with a side wall section of a cylinder body 11. A plug 34 which comprises an elastic material and fills the proximal end aperture 8b of the balloon suction duct 8 is attached to a position of an outer peripheral section of an outer cylinder of a piston 14 to face the proximal end aperture 8b of the balloon suction duct 8 in a waiting state, and an outer peripheral surface of the outer cylinder of the piston 14 is brought into contact with an inner surface of the cylinder body 11 at a back position A which is 180°symmetric with respect to the position where the plug 34 of the outer cylinder of the piston 14 is attached.
