PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysulfone based hollow yarn membrane which is excellent in safety and functional stability, is excellent in module construction and is suitable for a highly permeable blood purifier for the treatment of chronic nephrosis. SOLUTION: The polysulfone based permselective hollow yarn membrane is a polysulfone based hollow yarn membrane which is comprised of a polysulfone based resin and a hydrophilic high polymer and is so constituted that (a) the content of the hydrophilic polymer in the outermost layer of an inner surface is 1.1 times or more of the content of the hydrophilic polymer in a surface neighboring layer of the inner surface, (b) the content of the hydrophilic polymer in the outermost layer of an outer surface is 1.1 time or more of the content of the hydrophilic polymer at the outermost layer of the inner surface, and (c) when the cow blood is flown in a module filled with the hollow yarn membrane by a flow rate of 200 ml/min, a ratio of a sieving coefficient ofβ2-microglobulin when the blood filtering is executed by a filtering flow rate of 50 ml/min to a sieving coefficient ofβ2-microglobulin when the blood filtering is executed by a filtering flow rate of 10 ml/min is 60% or more.
