PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developer carrier which prolongs the lifetime of developer, achieves stable printing quality, and causes neither density change nor fogging. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic developer carrier is obtained, by coating the periphery of a carrier core material comprising a nearly spherical body with a two-layer resin coating layer comprising an inner resin layer which comprises a synthetic resin, having no electrically conductive material and a surface resin layer containing 1-5 mass% of a dispersed electrically conductive material, based on the solid content of a synthetic resin. The carrier diminishes the change in the resistance and suppresses deterioration in the charging characteristics in long-term repetitive printing, thereby the lifetime of the developer is prolonged, and stable printing quality and neither density change nor fogging are obtained for the carrier.
