PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve complicatedness in which the charging amount of a battery must always be controlled. SOLUTION: The walking type tending machine is equipped with a tending machine body and a housing and supporting body for supporting the tending machine body in a housing state. The tending machine body is equipped with a battery, an electric type turning and driving part using the battery as an electric source and a conducting piece on the tending machine body side. The housing and supporting body is equipped with an inserting plug to an electric source and a conducting piece on the housing and supporting body side. A battery charger is provided in either one of the tending machine body and the housing and supporting body and electric current is made to flow between the conducting piece on housing and supporting body and the conducting piece on the tending machine body side in a state in which the tending machine is housed and supported to the housing and supporting body and the battery is charged through the battery charger.
