PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise dust collecting performance by suppressing decrease in the amount of a suction blow in a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The cleaner includes a dust collecting chamber body 3 which is freely removably provided on a main body so as to collect dust. The dust collecting chamber body 3 internally comprises a nearly cylindrical filter 19 to be projected from the side of an electric blower; a suction tube which is positioned by communication with a hose connection part which is arranged on the opposite side surface of the electric blower; and an intake port 21 which is arranged at a part close to a filter outer peripheral surface in the suction tube. Accordingly, the suction blow from a hose connection port 6 is supplied from the outer periphery of the filter 19, suction is performed in different direction concerning the filter 19, and a turning air stream is generated in the dust collecting chamber body with the filter as an axis. Consequently, the suction blow including the dust is turned and distributed inside the dust collecting chamber body, so as to prevent the local attachment of the dust, to raise draft performance, and to suppress the lowering of sucking force.
