PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microorganism controlling agent having high controlling performance and a wide antibacterial spectrum and capable of reducing the load on the environment. SOLUTION: The microorganism controlling agent is produced by compounding a haloacetylene compound such as 3-iodo-2-propynylbutyl carbamate with an organic salt of a quaternary ammonium compound (e.g. N-lauryl-N-benzyl-N,N-dimethylammonium propionate).
