PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module capable of reducing signal distortion in using a multi-mode laser beam and also reducing deterioration of signal quality due to displacement between an optical fiber and a laser light source. SOLUTION: The optical communication module having the capability includes: a laser light source 13 that oscillates a multi-mode laser beam; a base 11 that is equipped with a positioning means 12 for positioning, relative to the laser light source 13, a multi-mode optical fiber 14 for propagating the laser beam; and a randomizing means 18 that can randomize an incident position when the multi-mode laser beam is made incident on the end face of the multi-mode optical fiber 14.
