PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective process for application, in particular on keratinic fibers, of a cosmetic product P including a skin care product. SOLUTION: The product includes elongated particles F such as fibers and is enclosed in a packaging device. The process includes the following steps: a step of placing the packaging device in a microwave oven, a step of raising the temperature of the product by exposing it to microwave radiation inside the oven, and a step of applying the product using an applicator.
