Testing system for transparent sprinkler bulbs used in firefighting apparatus warms part of bulb with microwaves and has camera observing formation of bubbles in fluid

The test apparatus has a cylindrical microwave chamber (1) surrounding a glass bulb under test. A handling arm (6) may pick up a bulb from a conveyer belt and may position it in the chamber in front of a microwave source with a cooling arrangement. The microwaves (3) pass through the bulb (2) under test. A lamp (5) shines through the transparent bulb and there is a camera (4) on the other side of the bulb. The camera is connected to a computer (9) with a video screen (13).
