CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR MEASURING CELL FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-operate and risk-reducing container for measuring cell functions which enables cell functions to be measured with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The container for measuring cell functions is used in the measurement of physiologically active substances produced by blood cells and includes a container having an opening therein and a plug body closely mounted in the opening in such a manner that it is not removed during sampling. In order to prevent the container from affecting the measurements of the physiologically active substances, the endotoxin content of the container itself is limited to 0.5 EU/ml or less in terms of the concentration of endotoxin in an extract when extraction is carried out by sampling water in an amount equal to the amount of liquid to be measured. A material which induces the production of the physiologically active substances is contained in the container whose endotoxin content is limited.
