PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter element for reducing fuel consumption of an internal combustion engine, and realizing high output. SOLUTION: This air filter element 10 has a frame 11 and an air activity member 12. The frame 11 has a column part 13 and leg parts 14 and 15. The air activity member 12 is fixed to a predetermined position of the column part 13. The air activity member 12 is fixed by a coil spring 28. The air activity member 12 is arranged so that its thickness direction runs in the longitudinal direction of the column part 13. The air activity member 12 has a large number of air inserting holes for inserting air. The air activity member 12 is juxtaposed in a plurality in the longitudinal direction of the column part 13.
