<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of shifting a pattern following a motion of eyes. <P>SOLUTION: A method and an apparatus for displaying an image are disclosed. It is known that the pattern of a watermark type is embedded in an image sequence to be displayed in order to interfere with the copy of a photographed image. This embedding makes the pattern invisible from human eyes, generates an artifact to a sequence photographed by a camcorder, and adjusts the strength of pixels of the pattern related to values to be displayed at a high frequency. The technology above causes a problem when the sequence of the image to be displayed includes a motional scene. Since the integration executed by eyes at the moment of image display is incorrect, a pattern appears.
