The unit has two individual units (2, 3) made of a powder composite material and arranged one after another in an axial direction. An intermediate unit is made of a grain oriented electrical sheet which is stacked crosswise and is placed between the units (2, 3). A majority of directional vectors, which determines a main direction of magnetization, have a directional component in the axial direction from the unit (2) to the unit (3). An independent claim is also included for a stator unit with an external stator including an external stator-return connection unit.
