<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously notify a device status of a printer and transinformation in response to a request from a personal computer. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 10 is structured of a status detecting part 104 for detecting and storing the device status of the printer 10, a transinformation storage part 102 for storing the transinformation notified to a user of the personal computer 11, and an information responding part 107 for generating device information from the device status and transinformation, and responding. The personal computer 11 is structured of an inquiring part 112 for inquiring the device information to the printer 10, and a display part 113 for displaying the device information received as a response to the inquiry by the inquiring part 112. When the personal computer 11 inquires the device information, the device information comprising the device status and transinformation is simultaneously transmitted to save trouble of separately requesting the device status and transinformation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
