<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an air bag device compact by solving complicated points in structure of a bag internal pressure releasing mechanism and to instantaneously lower internal pressure by quickly releasing the gas of an air bag. <P>SOLUTION: This air bag device is provided with the bag internal pressure releasing mechanism 70 for releasing the air bag 31 when the internal pressure of the air bag 31 exceeds prescribed pressure to suppress a rise of the internal pressure. The bag internal pressure releasing mechanism 70 is constituted of a discharge port 43 for discharging the gas by being provided in the air bag 31, an opening part 71 to be faced to the discharge port 43, a lid member 72 for closing the opening part 71, supporting means 73 for supporting the lid member 72 on the opening part 71, and an elastic repulsion means (compression spring) 75 for energizing the supporting means 73 toward end faces 74 of the opening part 71. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
