<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer for evaluation which is available commonly for the development of different microcomputers. <P>SOLUTION: This microcomputer is provided with: a CPU; a memory and a direct memory access controller (DMAC) for controlling access to a memory without using the CPU. This microcomputer is provided with: a plurality of peripheral resources having predetermined functions corresponding to respectively applied actual resource numbers for making an access request to the DMAC, and for performing data transfer with a memory; and a resource converting unit for performing signal conversion between the DMAC and the plurality of peripheral resources. Then, a partial peripheral resources among the plurality of peripheral resources are associated with the logical resource numbers of the DMAC by the resource converting unit. Thus, a plurality of peripheral resources are arbitrarily selected to construct a new microcomputer for evaluation to be developed, and the development costs of a chip for evaluation are decreased to shorten the development steps. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
