<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual reproduction assisting apparatus capable of efficiently stimulating cells constituting a retina by the output waveform of electric stimulation pulse signals. <P>SOLUTION: The visual reproduction assisting apparatus for reproducing the visual of a patient accompanied by blindness by the disease of the retina comprises: a pulse signal formation means for forming the electric stimulation pulse signals for which electric stimulations to be given to the cells constituting the retina for visual reproduction are decided by the output waveform of a current; electrodes for outputting the electric stimulation pulse signals formed by the pulse signal formation means to the cells constituting the retina; an output waveform change means for changing the output waveform of the electric stimulation pulse signals formed by the pulse signal formation means; and an output voltage control means for controlling the maximum value of a voltage to be applied corresponding to the output waveform of the electric stimulation pulse signals changed by the output waveform change means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
