PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily lift and construct a horizontally laying rectangular duct from the outside of a building to a construction place, and to construct the duct of large air volume or a plurality of or multiple systems while planarly saving a space. SOLUTION: The rectangular ducts 10, 11 are horizontally placed in an outer frame unit composed of frame materials and temporarily fixed in the outer frame unit to constitute a duct unit D1. The duct unit D1 is lifted up by a crane 31, then lowered toward a frame installed in advance on an installation place, and placed on the frame 33. Then a duct unit D2 is lifted up, and placed on the frame 33 in the connecting direction with the duct unit placed previously at an interval. The temporary fixing of the rectangular duct in the duct unit D2 is released, and the duct unit D2 is moved to a side of the rectangular ducts 10, 11 in the duct unit D1 to connect the rectangular ducts 10, 11.
