<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound volume control apparatus capable of setting a sound outputted from a speaker to a desired sound volume respectively at a plurality of positions. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal 25 measures a distance with transmission adaptors 20, 21 and obtains its own coordinates (X, Y) from a result of the measurement. Then the terminal 25 outputs sound volume setting information VC, the coordinates (X, Y), and speaker ID information to a reception section 30. Thus, a speaker control apparatus 10 controls the angle of the speaker so that a center line L of the speaker SP specified by the speaker ID information passes through the coordinates (X, Y). Further, an audio apparatus 5 adjusts the sound volume of an audio signal supplied to a corresponding speaker apparatus 6 on the basis of the sound volume setting information VC and the speaker ID information.
