PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cycle counter incorporated in a cable tie tool in which exact counted values of the number of cable ties cut by this tool are obtained. SOLUTION: The cycle counter has a sensor which detects the movement of a blade for cutting a strap of the cable tie. In some cases, this sensor is a part of the cable tie tool and detects the state that the tool cuts the strap of the cable tie tool. The sensor generates a cutting signal indicating that the strap of the cable tie is cut. In addition, the cycle counter has a totalizer which processes the cutting signal and generates an additional signal for transmitting it to a display device. The display device informs an operator of the total number of the cable ties cut by the cable tie tool and also informs the operator of the total number cut and selected by the cable tie tool.
