The crop threshing and separating machine (10) has a threshing section (11) with a large rotating threshing drum (12) over a concave (13). A forwarding drum (14) moves the threshed material (G) towards a sloping oscillating grid (15). The grid is moved by a crank mechanism and has triangular-section transverse bars (15a,b) and sieve sheets (29a). Sensor tubes (27) under the bars are connected (5) to a processor circuit (31) which is connected to a display (8).
