PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal relaying apparatus capable of enhancing operability by a remote control apparatus. SOLUTION: The signal relaying apparatus is provided with: a control signal reception section 11 for sequentially receiving a control signal transmitted from a remote commander 34 and applied to a television receiver 30; a RAM 22 for sequentially storing control data in response to the control signal C; a relay control signal transmission section 12 for sequentially transmitting a relay control signal E on the basis of the control data to the television receiver 30; a response signal reception section 13 for receiving a response signal R denoting that the television receiver 30 completes processing in response to the relay control signal E from the television receiver 30; and a CPU 20 for controlling the relay control signal transmission section 12 to transmit a new relay control signal E on the basis of control data stored next to the old control data corresponding to the old relay control signal E.
