PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that only with straight paper delivery, the installation area of an apparatus is increased, only with reverse paper delivery, it cannot cope with OHP and thick paper, and switching between the reverse paper delivery and the straight paper delivery is not simple. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus can take the reverse paper delivery mode in which a paper sheet 5 where an image is formed is delivered with the face down and the straight paper delivery mode in which the paper sheet is delivered with the face up. An interlocking mechanism 211 including a rocking member 212 is provided between a straight paper delivery tray 167 and a movable reversing guide plate 204 forming a part of a reverse paper delivery path 65 not to be connected thereto, whereby when the straight paper delivery tray 167 is thrown down and opened to the working position, a switching member 201 is turned through the interlocking mechanism 211 so that the reversing guide plate 204 opens a straight transport path 66.
