PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing machine capable of preventing a side brush from being entwined on a projection at washing and reducing a washing remaining part of a vehicle to be washed even when the projection obstructing car washing is provided on the vehicle to be washed. SOLUTION: A pair of right and left openable/closable side brushes 2 is provided on a longitudinally travelable car washing machine body and is divided to a lower brush body 23 and a lower brush body 24. The upper brush body 23 and the lower brush body 24 are constituted such that they are rotated/driven by an upper part motor and a lower part motor respectively. According to this, when a mirror obstructing the car washing is provided on the vehicle to be washed, rotation of the upper brush body 23 corresponding to height of the mirror is stopped and only the lower brush body 24 is rotated at high speed.
