<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivering a dose of medical substance in a controllable state. <P>SOLUTION: The stent is delivered to a desired region in the body by a catheter. The outer surface of a nano-structure is made hydrophobic, and at first the voltage is not applied between a base plate and a fluid by a power supply 22, so that a body fluid 40 in the region in the body floats on the top of a nano-structure array 62. However, when the stent is implanted in a desired region in the body, the medical material is released into the body fluid by applying the voltage V≥V<SB>F</SB>. This voltage causes the body fluid 40 to permeate into a gap and come into contact with the medical substance 69 so that the medical substance is released into the body fluid 40. The substance 69 is diffused into the fluid 40 to react with the fluid 40 here, or to be simply dissolved therein.
