PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated film which can show a good and stable appearance upon film rolling after a long period time and no rolling in vapor deposition process, no stain of cooling can and good characteristics for a vapor deposition magnetic recording medium can be attained upon applying to a base for a vapor deposition magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The film comprises a laminated film composed of at least two thermoplastic resin layers, in which an average roughness Ra<SB>A</SB>at the central line of a thermoplastic resin layer A constructing one surface and an average roughness Ra<SB>B</SB>at the central line of a thermoplastic resin layer B on the opposite surface are adjusted to Ra<SB>A</SB>/Ra<SB>B</SB>of 0.2-0.7, the thermoplastic resin layer B contains inert particlesαandβ, and a difference of average particles sizes dαand dβ(dβ-dα) is 80-300 nm, a number Nβof projections by the inert particleβon the thermoplastic resin layer B surface is 4-150/mm<SP>2</SP>, and an easily slidable coating layer C of thickness of 1-10 nm is formed on the outer surface of the thermoplastic resin layer B.
